Prison Chief Resigning

The head of Floridas prison system is stepping down after two years on the job. Department of Corrections Secretary James McDonough cleaned house after a corruption scandal cost the previous secretary Jim Crosby his job. McDonough also put in place new execution procedures last year after a botched lethal injection. McDonough plans to stay on the job until a replacement is found.
