Prison Chief Resigning
January 10th, 2008 by flanewsThe head of Florida’s prison system is stepping down after two years on the job. Department of Corrections Secretary James McDonough cleaned house after a corruption scandal cost the previous secretary Jim Crosby his job. McDonough also put in place new execution procedures last year after a botched lethal injection. McDonough plans to stay on the job until a replacement is found.
