Inside the Florida Capitol \u2013 a number of holiday themed displays are out for the public to see. But, as Matt Horn reports, not all of the displays made the cut.

\nMembers of the Garner family traveled from Montana and Tennessee to take their photo in front of the Festivus display inside the Florida State Capitol. They\u2019ll use it for next year\u2019s Holiday card. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s awesome. This one will go down on the family fridge for a while,\u201d said Britt Garner.<\/p>\n

\u201cIts just honestly interesting politically and just good family fun,\u201d said Lisa Garner. <\/p>\n

Just five feet away is another first\u2026 a unique display representing the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Not from the Flying Spaghetti Monster are displays from The Freedom From Religion and Atheists groups. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think its great Florida has this diversity represented at Christmas time,\u201d said Mary Edwards.<\/p>\n

\u201cThough I may not agree with everything, I think it\u2019s good,\u201d said Houston Ham.<\/p>\n

All together eight holiday displays were allowed. One was not. This is a picture of the exhibit presented by the Satanic Temple to the state. The Department of Management Services said the display is \u201cgrossly offensive\u201d.<\/p>\n

It started off with the Christmas Nativity, a religious display. Going from the Nativity Scene to other displays of non-religion, groups are making sure there\u2019s something here for everyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s a great opportunity to bring all walks of life to do some fun things, it\u2019s a really good example of pop culture,\u201d said Karen Garner. <\/p>\n

Although most were in support of the unique displays, not everyone was. Some believe the only acceptable display is the Nativity Scene. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat I can accept, but this I cannot even though they\u2019re mocking,\u201d said Maynard Hellbusch.
\nSo regardless what you\u2019re celebrating this holiday season \u2013 the capitol has a little bit of everything for everyone.<\/p>\n
