Single Family existing home sales in Florida dropped 28 percent in the fourth quarter of 2006 compared to the same period a year earlier. Sales were absolutely horrible in the Lakeland Winer Haven area, down a whopping 56 percent. Next worst was Tampa, where sales were off 40%. Orlando, Naples, Ft. Walton, and Daytona all posted worse sales declines than the average. Surprisingly, Miami sales only fell one percent.<\/p>\n
