\/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>School spending would increase $302 for each of the 2.8 million K-12 students.<\/p>\n<p>It would rise to just under $8,000 per student.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s an increase of just over a billion dollars over last year,\u201d said DeSantis.<\/p>\n<p>The bulk of the increase, $602 million is for teacher raises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody in Florida will be at a minimum of \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>And the Governor repurposes $300 million being spent on teacher bonuses that currently rely on decades old college admission test scores, and replaces it with a program based on performance and school grades.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, if the school reaches a certain threshold, an 85 or better, every teacher gets a bonus.
