Corrections,\u201d said State Senator Jeff Brandes.<\/p>\n<p>Brandes is proposing inmates who learn a trade get their sentence reduced from 85 to 65 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow do we motivate them to \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>But Florida Sheriff\u2019s are pushing back with a report called Truth in Sentencing.<\/p>\n<p>“You about have to beg your way into state prison,\u201d said Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri. \u201cThe policies and laws that keep felons off the streets and out of our neighborhoods work.
