Florida State University researchers are looking for ways to better predict droughts to help farmers reduce losses. The school is getting a little help from the US Department of Agriculture. Today Congressman Allen Boyd announced a 2.5 million dollar federal grant to help the school develop better forecasts. Boyd says knowing when a drought is coming will help safe millions of pounds of food. <\/p>\n
